Ukrposhta became the first post office in the world to open its store on eBay – stamps and other merchandise will be sold

Ukrposhta has opened its own “branch” on the international Internet site eBay. Igor Smilyanskyi, General Director of the national postal operator, announced the expansion and noted that Ukrposhta was the first post office in the world to open its store on eBay.

Briefly about the sales of the brand of the series “Russian warship… DONE!”

On May 23, Ukrposhta issued the final postage stamps of the series “Russian warship… DONE!”, Which lined up all over Ukraine. On May 24, online sales of stamps and merchandise started at four sites – Rozetka, Kasta.ua, Prom.ua and Ukrposhta’s own online store. From the first second of sales, all four stores were operating with major interruptions, but many eventually managed to place an order. At the end of the day, Igor Smilyansky said that the stores were doing everything possible to withstand powerful DDoS attacks and wild demand. According to him, such a load on the system has never been in the history of Ukrainian e-commerce. Following the results of the day, Ukrposhta sold:

  • Stamps – 800 thousand+
  • Magnets – 10 thousand+
  • T-shirt – 500+
  • Sweatshirts – 100+

Millions of hryvnias were also collected by the Armed Forces (the exact figure is promised to be announced soon).

For the next 2 days, Ukrposhta will process Ukrainian orders – stamps will not be sold in branches and online. At the same time, foreign fans will have the opportunity to buy the brand. That’s why Ukrposhta went on eBay.

Ukrposhta on eBay

Ukrposhta eBay page with the brand “Russian warship… DONE!” available at this link. Thus, speculators who resold brands on eBay with a huge markup will be “pleased” with this news.

In addition to stamps, T-shirts and other products with Ukrainian symbols will also appear on eBay – at the same time, $5 from each order will be donated to the Ukrposhta Charitable Foundation and the KSE Foundation. The list of goods will be constantly distributed. Of course, prices on outdoor areas will be different from home. So, a set of block stamps F+ postcard + envelope will cost $49.95. The price includes the cost of international delivery, as well as a charitable component. Igor Smilyansky also announced the appearance on eBay of unique lots from Ukrposhta soon.

The first couple of days, the site will operate in a pilot mode, so there may be small “bugs” that the company promises to fix quickly.

Not bad news when the state-owned store appears on the site, which has more than 147 million active customers in 190 countries.
