The National Bank of Ukraine is ahead of the new trends of the Internet shakhraystvo

The National Bank recorded the distribution of electronic fraudulent letters, in which, allegedly on behalf of the NBU, Ukrainians are asked to transfer funds to help the armed forces of Ukraine in cryptocurrency. The National Bank has not opened a single crypto wallet at all, so Ukrainians need to be careful — this mailing list and the like are carried out by internet scammers.

What is important is that a link to the crypto wallet is indicated for transferring funds. If you try to send a response to this email, you will see an email address with the extension @bank.gov.ua

As of today, two such fake addresses have been recorded: [email protected] and [email protected]

If you receive such a letter – just delete it.

For reference: all information on financial assistance in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian purposes is published exclusively through the official channels of the National Bank – on the pages of the official website and social networks of the NBU.

The funds are accumulated in multi-currency accounts opened by the National Bank to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians affected by Russian aggression. These multicurrency accounts can be used to credit charitable assistance both from Ukraine and abroad.
