Starlink in Ukraine: speed, price and how to connect

On the last day of February, the Ministry of Digital announced the start of deliveries of Starlink satellite Internet stations in Ukraine. Now anyone can order a terminal for themselves. We will talk about what Elon Musk’s company offers, how much it costs and how to connect.

Price and conditions of Starlink in Ukraine

Elon Musk’s company has already received an operator’s license in Ukraine, but no one is talking about development plans and prospects in our country yet. The main feature, which is the strength of Starlink – the ability to access the Internet anywhere. This immediately made Elon Musk’s satellite Internet the most popular among the military. The terminals also arrived at critical infrastructure facilities.

Note that the Starlink satellite Internet – Pleasure is not cheap. You only have to pay $600 for the connection. This is 17,700 at the official exchange rate and over UAH 20,000 at the real rate. The subscription fee is $120 per month (UAH 3,500/3,900).

Starlink provides download speeds of up to 200 Mbps and download speeds of up to 25 Mbps. According to Okla, the median Internet speed in Ukraine in April this year was about 50 Mbps in both cases.

Datagroup will be Starlink’s main competitor in our country. It offers satellite internet for UAH 1,600 per month. You need to pay UAH 2,000 for the connection. However, the speed is significantly lower: 20 Mbps for download and 5 Mbps for download.

How to connect Starlink in Ukraine?

Starlink started delivering terminals to Ukraine on June 9 (to regular users). If you live in an area of ​​active hostilities or in temporarily occupied territories, you will have to order delivery to an alternate address. The US company is guided by this map.

Orders for Starlink terminals are made on the company’s official website. Pre-order costs $100 (included in the already mentioned $600).
