Saudi Arabia has deployed Silent Hunter laser systems to destroy Iranian drones
Ukraine is not the only country suffering from Iranian drones and barrage of ammunition. To strengthen air defense, Saudi Arabia has deployed Silent Hunter laser complexes.
Saudi Arabia purchased the Silent Hunter from China earlier this spring. The laser system is mounted on a container that is mounted on a truck with a 6×6 wheel formula.

The manufacturer of Silent Hunter is the Chinese company Poly Technologies. She states that the system uses a 30-100 kW electrically powered fiber optic laser. The maximum range is 4 km.
The Silent Hunter can burn through five 2 mm steel plates at a distance of 800 meters or one 5 mm sheet at a distance of 1 km. At the same time, the main purpose of the complex is the destruction of enemy drones at low altitudes.
