Providers who refuse to block propaganda have been shut down in Ukraine

Internet providers who refuse to block Russian propaganda have excluded from the Register of Telecommunications Providers. Further, the company is facing more serious sanctions.

Blocking providers

This decision has already made by National Commission for the State Regulation of Electronic Communications, Radiofrequency Spectrum and the Provision of Postal Services (NCEC) for two companies: NETASIST LLC and NETASSIST LLC. This is published on the commission’s website.

The agency noted that the reason for this decision was non-compliance with the orders and requirements of the National Center for Operational and Technical Management of Electronic Communications Networks of Ukraine (NCU), which operates under the State Special Service, during martial law.

What will be the consequences for providers

Next, a decision will be made on what to do with violators. These can be:

  • establishment of temporary features of traffic routing, in accordance with this decision;
  • revocation of permits for the use of numbering resources;
  • revocation of licenses for the use of radio frequency resources;
  • exclusion of information from other registers maintained by the national commission.

The State Special Communications Service reminded that in conditions of martial law, providers obliged to take immediate measures to fulfill the instructions of the NCU.
