Monobank suspends services and closes accounts of customers from Russia and Belarus

From April 18, Monobank will stop serving customers who have not yet left the occupied Crimea, Donbas, Russia, Belarus, and several other countries.

As Monobank co-founder Oleg Gorokhovsky told Telegram, all accounts of these clients will be closed.

Thus, monobank closed the accounts of customers who were before the war and still have not left the following countries and territories:

  • Russia;
  • Belarus;
  • Crimea;
  • temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (L / DNR);
  • North Korea;
  • Syria;
  • Eritrea.

The accounts of these people will be closed. I urge other Ukrainian banks to follow our example,” – Gorokhovsky said.
