Modernization of PrivatBank lasted for a day
PrivatBank planned a technological pause in making payments through Privat24 on March 20 from midnight to 10 am, but suddenly the process lasted for a day.
Initially, the bank announced that on March 20, 2022, it will carry out technological work on the modernization of Privat24, which will significantly increase the volume of payment processing and the introduction of new services. The work was supposed to take time from 00 hours to 10 am, and at this time it was planned to pause payments via the mobile and web versions of Privat24 for individuals.
But on the evening of March 20, PrivatBank announced that its IT team continues to configure the reserve capacity of the bank’s services.
“PrivatBank’s IT team has been working 24/7 for the second day to implement reserve capacities for the smooth operation of Privat24 and all the bank’s services under any circumstances that are possible during the war,” said Mariusz Kaczmarek, Deputy Chairman of the PrivatBank Management Board. – Given the large number of services and services provided by PrivatBank, setup requires more time than planned at the beginning of work.”
According to the head of PrivatBank’s IT team, such work is unique for the banking market, and the need to configure many services may cause temporary pauses in the work of Privat24 during March 20 and the beginning of the day on March 21.
Just a day later, at Ten in the morning on March 21, PrivatBank’s IT team completed setting up reserve capacities and announced that Privat24 was operating normally.
“PrivatBank’s team of IT specialists has completed the implementation of reserve capacities for the smooth operation of the bank’s services and services in three days of 24/7 operation. Privat24, payments and services are operating normally.”
