Manufacturers of Zewa and Libresse are leaving the Russian market

Zewa, Tork, Libero, Libresse and TENA products will no longer be available for Russian users. Conditions for doing business in Russia have deteriorated, the manufacturer said.

The Swedish company Essity, which is one of the leading manufacturers of personal care products and medical products, has decided to leave Russia. This is stated in the company’s quarterly report.

“Essity’s conditions for doing business in Russia have deteriorated. As a result, the company’s assets in Russia have been depreciated by about 1.4 billion Swedish kronor ($147 million). In addition, work has begun to exit the Russian market,” the company said.

According to the report, in 2021 Essity’s net sales in Russia amounted to about 2.8 billion Swedish kronor, which corresponds to about 2% of total consolidated net revenue in 2021.

The company manufactures its products in 150 countries. It is represented on the market by the brands Zewa, Tork, Libero, Libresse and TENA.
