Lviv received 25 Starlink terminals

Lviv IT Cluster purchased Starlink terminals. They will be used for critical infrastructure of the city. This was reported to the Lviv portal by the press service of the Lviv City Council.

Lviv IT Cluster has already purchased several hundred Starlink terminals. So far, the first 25 have arrived, transferred to the critical infrastructure of Lviv.

“From now on, the critical infrastructure of the city will be connected, regardless of the circumstances. Starlink’s terminals are a means of special communication in wartime, so they should only be used when wired internet is no longer available. The purchase was made possible by the fact that Lviv IT Cluster agreed with SpaceX and directly with Ilona Mask, and we are very grateful that they responded to our offer,” – said Stepan Veselovsky, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.

Stepan Veselovsky, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster, noted that many terminals come as humanitarian aid. At the same time, the Lviv IT cluster independently purchased terminals for the western regions.

“Many Starlink come directly in the form of humanitarian aid to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, which distributes terminals in critical parts of the country. We have undertaken the purchase of terminals for the western regions of Ukraine, so as not to take away the donated terminals from other regions of our country, where they are now extremely necessary,” – said Stepan Veselovsky, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.
