itch.io has raised more than $6 million in aid to Ukraine

Online indie game sales service itch.io completed the sale of Bundle for Ukraine, the purpose of which was to raise a million dollars for the International Medical Corps and the voices of Children Foundation. In total, almost $6.4 million was collected, and the “average check” was $14.16. in total, more than 450 thousand people took part in the sale.

itch.io sold a set of 991 games for $10, but anyone could donate more. The set included games from 700 authors, and the total cost of all games separately was $6,500.

All proceeds from the sale will go to the International Medical Corps, which provides medical care to victims in Ukraine, as well as the voices of Children Foundation, which helps young Ukrainians cope with the horrors of war and post-traumatic stress disorder. All proceeds will be divided between charities 50/50.
