The Swedish company IKEA, which sells furniture and household goods, has decided to get rid of all four factories in Russia and lay off workers. This was reported on her website.
In early March, IKEA suspended stores in Russia and Belarus, and now decided to say goodbye to local production.
“Unfortunately, the environment has not improved since then, the devastating war continues. […] We do not see an opportunity to resume work in the near future,” – the statement said.
IKEA’s retail business in Russia will continue to be paused, many employees will be laid off, and leftovers are planned to be sold.
