Google has shut down the servers of several Russian providers

Google has informed several Russian providers about the termination of agreements on the maintenance of Google Global Cache servers, writes the Russian edition of RBC, citing sources.

Irish subsidiary Google has announced the shutdown of servers due to ‘changes in legal practice’. Google representatives will be in contact with Russian providers in the near future to decommission the servers.

According to RBC, the shutdown affects the servers of MIPT-Telecom and Focus Life.

Google Global Cache servers are designed to optimize the loading of information. They also host the Google reCAPTCHA service to protect against bot attacks.
