Additional gas source: Ukraine will have access to LNG terminals in the Baltic States and Poland
Ukraine should get access to the LNG terminals of the Baltic States and Poland in the summer, said the General Director of the GTS Operator of Ukraine Serhiy Makogon on Facebook.
“… the GIPL interconnector between Poland and Lithuania, which connected the Baltic States to the European gas market, has been launched. This is a significant breakthrough in energy security for the whole region. Gazprom will find it much harder to blackmail these countries with gas. A tanker with a cargo of LNG liquefied gas for Poland. And after the completion of the Poland-Slovakia interconnector this summer, Ukraine will also receive LNG terminals in Poland and the Baltic countries,” – Makogon said.
One month ago, Ukraine’s underground storage facilities began preparing for gas injection next winter.
