22 ambulances and 40 fire engines arrived in Ukraine from Britain

Britain donated 22 ambulances and 40 fire engines with equipment to Ukraine.

New “fast” fire truck and equipment for health professionals, announced today, will help better equip Ukrainians to provide basic assistance and save lives. Together with our military assistance, we continue to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience to prevent Putin’s barbaric invasion.“, – said Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

“Ambulances” are equipped with basic kits, transferred at the request of the Ukrainian side. They will be sent to Ukraine in the coming days.

A convoy of more than 40 fire engines with other rescue equipment and overalls is already in Ukraine, including in frontline cities. This is the largest aid to firefighting equipment Britain has ever sent to another country.

The UK-Med charity will receive £300,000 from the Foreign Ministry for training programs for Ukrainian doctors on how to work in large numbers of victims, as well as for mobile medical centers. Britain also provides medicines and medical products for 300 thousand pounds.

At the beginning of March, 26 British medics and humanitarian workers left for Ukraine on the initiative of this organization.

The total cost of humanitarian aid to Ukraine provided by Britain is already about 400 million pounds.
